The mission of the KU AIAA chapter is to empower students pursuing aerospace engineering by providing opportunities for professional development, academic support, and engagement with the aerospace industry. The chapter aims to foster a collaborative and inclusive community that supports academic excellence, encourages participation in research and innovation, and facilitates industry connections through networking events and outreach. Additionally, the chapter promotes hands-on experiences through student projects and competitions, encourages active involvement in the broader AIAA community, and strives to build a sustainable framework for long-term success, all while emphasizing diversity and inclusivity.

Membership Benefits
AIAA, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, is a student organization which provides an environment for all KU Aeros to meet, make new friends, get involved, help promote academic achievement, and ultimately get the most out of their time as a KU Aerospace Student. We offer a chance for professional networking and other opportunities to get involved on campus.
