KU’s student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers exists to provide professional development opportunities to CEAE students and provide a sense of community for its membership.
Members can join ASCE for free as students. They can attend biweekly meetings with free food, travel to compete in the spring symposium, and attend the yearly section dinner. Additionally, ASCE serves as the parent organization of Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge, which allows members to collaborate and make friends within the department and across design teams.
